Acid casein is produced by adding hydrochloric acid to milk, causing the milk's pH to drop and is widely used as an ingredient to manufacture natural paints. These paints can be applied to any rigid, nonÂoily surface such as masonite, wood, plaster, heavy watercolour paper, paperboard, canvas or linen mounted on masonite or even stone. It also dries quickly to a velvety matte finish and becomes resistant to moisture over time.
